The 22nd annual Hancock Shaker Village Country Fair is a celebration of all things autumn, and will include a fiber festival and quilt show, regional artisans, local farmers and food, a hot sauce contest, workshops, demonstrations, live performances, children's activities and so much more. Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. & Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
  MUSIC & NIGHTLIFE
Berkshires Jazz brings five of the most popular regional bands to the stage for the 2019 Berkshire Jazz Showcase on the Pittsfield Common from 12-5 p.m. The lineup includes Gina Coleman and Misty Blues, Paul Green and Two Worlds, Andy Wrba's Berkshire Jazz Collective, First Take with Mary Ann Palermo and the Kyle Murray Quintet. FREE.  Food and Drink will be available for purchase from Mad Jacks BBQ and Wandering Star Brewery.

Teens aged 13-19 are invited to a pizza and paint party at Berkshire Paint & Sip from 6-8 p.m. Learn to paint "Shooting Star" on a large 16x20 canvas. The $30 fee includes two hours of instruction, all materials, pizza and beverages. 305 North Street.

THU "Gritty Berkshires" at Berkshire Athenaeum
Berkshire Athenaeum will host Maynard Seider, a retired MCLA sociology professor and author of "The Gritty Berkshires." Through the use of oral histories, newspaper accounts, participant observation and union archives, he focuses on the northern Berkshires, the men who built the nation's longest railroad tunnel, the people who worked in its textile mills and electronics factories, who led strikes, and who built worker co-ops and community coalitions to improve their daily lives.7 p.m.

SAT Berkshire Short Film Festival at The Little Cinema
Filmmakers from across the world and as close as your own back yard bring you creative stories that will make you laugh, cry and jump out of your seat. Enjoy these creative tales in the Berkshire Museum's Little Cinema and meet the filmmakers throughout the day. The festival culminates in an awards ceremony at BCC's Boland Theatre.
