Beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 19, the Berkshire Hills will be alive with the sounds of Rodgers and Hammerstein at Barrington Stage Company.
A fabulous cast will sing some of the greatest musical theater songs ever written including those from South Pacific, Oklahoma!, Carousel, The King and I, The Sound of Music and more! Presented in a tent outdoors at the parking lot of the Polish Community Club, at the intersection of Linden and Center streets, from August 19-29.

  FUN & LEARNING
On Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m.Berkshire OLLI presents The Madman Theory, a live online discussion about Trump's foreign policy with CNN's Chief National Security Correspondent Jim Sciutto and Politico reporter Daniel Lippman. This even is FREE but registration is required.

This week at the Virtual Pillow: As part of its virtual summer festival offerings, Jacob's Pillow invites you to hear from choreographers using technology, take a contemporary master class with Aszure Barton, catch a performance by Tero Saarinen Company with music from the Boston Camerata, and more.
Mass Audubon's properties are now open and the organization is currently holding in-person and online classes for all ages. Children can participate in virtual summer camp adventures, nighthawk watches, and evening paddle trips. Adults are invited to enjoy hikes, birding at The Mount, and virtual ecology talks.

  FAMILY FRIENDLY
Otha Day and Berkshire Music School host Drum2TalkTEENS August 17-21. FREE. Space is limited and pre-registration is required: 413-442-1411. This hands-on drumming class will allow teens to connect with each other and process emotions they've felt during a stressful year, including their experiences with race, diversity, and belonging in America. 
 
Are turtles reptiles? Can you name 10 Greek gods or goddesses? On Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m., join Berkshire Museum for another fun family quiz about turtles and Greek mythology! Family trivia questions are targeted to ages 8 and older, but younger siblings are encouraged to join the fun as part of a team!
