DEERFIELD, Mass. — Historic Deerfield postponed the Heritgae Breed Sheep Weekend to May of 2021.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and capacity restrictions from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for outdoor events, Historic Deerfield is postponing the upcoming "Sheep on the Street" Heritage Breed Sheep Weekend event.
The event was slated to occur Oct. 23-25, 2020 in Deerfield. The event will move to a date in May 2021.
The event will bring heritage breeds of sheep to Deerfield for visitors to learn of their importance in the agricultural world of early New England. Demonstrations and programs about wool, including carding, dyeing, spinning and weaving, sheepdog herding, and exhibitions of historic textiles will be featured.
Visitors who have reserved tickets in advance for the weekend of Oct. 23-25, 2020 will be contacted directly so they may transfer their tickets to another visitation date or receive a refund.
