BOSTON, Mass. — The Boston Book Festival is coming to the Berkshires this October, virtually.

The Book Festival will be free and online this year and include outdoor activities, one that will take place in the Berkshires.

The festival is collaborating with Melville's Arrowhead home in Pittsfield and The Mount in Lenox to be part of the festival's Book Hunt, a scavenger hunt that will involve posting clues on social media as to where the books are hidden on the different properties.

The Emily Dickinson House and Eric Carle Museum in Amherst, the Harriet Beecher Stowe House in Hartford, Conn., and the Walden Woods Project and Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House in Concord will also be included.

The Book Hunt will also be citywide in Boston.

Follow the book hunt on twitter at @Bostonbookfest and the hashtag #BBFBookHunt.

More information can be found here.
