PITTSFIELD, Mass. — On Monday, April 26, the City of Pittsfield will launch a cross-connection control survey aimed at non-residential users utilizing the city's water supply.

 

The purpose is to locate sites with potential cross-connection issues in non-residential buildings that have not been identified in previous testing rounds. The survey is required per the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the Code of Massachusetts Regulations (CMR), Chapter 310, Section 22.22(3)(c).

 

Representatives from the Water Safety Services Group will be conducting the system-wide survey throughout the city. It will consist of a brief questionnaire and a walk-through with the proprietor to identify any potential concerns.
