'Bei Tempi' Wants to Bring Good Times to Pittsfield's West SideBy Brittany Polito, iBerkshires Staff

 PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Owners of the former Crossroads Cafe want to bring "Bei Tempi" to the West Side with a new restaurant.
"The new name is Bei Tempi, which means ‘good times' in Italian," Elizabeth Zucco told the Licensing Board on Monday. "Bring a little Italian to the West Side."
The Onota Street establishment was granted an annual weekday entertainment license owners Elizabeth and Richard Zucco reported that food will be returned. The interior will also see some changes to be more suitable for dining.

Rebecca Brien is enjoying her spacious new office; her old one was so cramped there was barely room for visitors to sit. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Downtown Pittsfield Inc. has moved its offices to a larger space in the heart of downtown, making way for expansion and evolution.
Managing Director Rebecca Brien has dreamed about this space's possibilities since she first walked in. The former home of Jan Perry Realty gives DPI space for membership-strengthening classes, seminars, informational sessions, and gatherings.

BOSTON — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing the public comment period for the proposed Fiscal Year 2025-2029 five-year Capital Investment Plan (CIP) will be held from Thursday, June 20, through Wednesday, July 10, 2024. This five-year plan includes approximately $16.5 billion in planned transportation investments. The CIP guides how the Healey-Driscoll administration prioritizes and funds local and statewide transportation projects and determines funding for infrastructure, including railroad and transit projects, accessibility upgrades, roadway and bridge improvements, municipal projects, and investments for Regional Transit Authorities (RTAs).

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The school district found a $200,000 cost savings in computer replacements to accommodate the City Council's budget cut.
The School Committee approved an $82,685,277 revised school budget on Wednesday with savings that are "essentially a placeholder." Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance Kristen Behnke explained that the amount allotted for hiring may exceed salary totals and could go toward the reduction.
The budget for instructional computer replacements is now $100,000.
