BOSTON — The Healey-Driscoll Administration released its Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) to Fiscal Year 2028 (FY28) Capital Investment Plan (CIP), which invests more than $14 billion over five years. DALTON, Mass. — The Select Board last week instructed Highway Superintendent Edward Hall to explore potential solutions to delineate the town sidewalk from the Zinky's Pub parking lot. The licensing board hearing to determine whether there were any legal violations that need to be addressed with the liquor license turned to a discussion on the state of the sidewalk in front of the popular pub. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Two Taconic High School students have highlighted the importance of clean, accessible public bathrooms in the city.
A letter from sophomores Nick Kerwood and Eva Matkovska was brought forward at Tuesday's Parks Commission meeting.
The students focused on public sanitation as part of a civics project for their history class after a meeting with Parks, Open Space and Natural Resource Program Manager James McGrath, analyzing the situation with Pittsfield's public restrooms and offering possible solutions.
They decided to write a letter to the commission that calls for more resources to address the issue. It was referred to the City Council and

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — More than a year after the approval of a bike skills facility in Springside Park, the Parks Commission has approved a draft memorandum of understanding with its purveyors.
The New England Mountain Bike Association plans to place a bicycle skills park and pump track near the north playground of the park at no cost to the city.
Since late 2021, Parks, Open Space, and Natural Resource Program Manager James McGrath and Commissioner Anthony DeMartino have been negotiating an MOU with NEMBA. The draft will go back to the organization, which can decide whether to accept or reject the terms.
