The meal kit distribution effort has surpassed last year's numbers, serving more than 2,200 local families in need. Around 500 volunteers have helped with the entire process and on Monday, around 100 volunteers packed into the South Congregational Church for drive-through distribution.
Generosity is the engine that has powered Thanksgiving Angels for around 15 years.

 PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Environmentalists feel community cooperation may help move the needle on the county's last peaker plant transitioning to clean energy.
During Wednesday's Berkshire Green Drinks event hosted by the Berkshire Environmental Action Team, Rosemary Wessel discussed possible green outcomes for Pittsfield Generating Co. on Merrill Road.
"It might be in the interest of the city to leave behind yesterday's technology and start looking at what a clean energy future might look like," said Wessel, No Fracked Gas in Mass program director.

BCC President Ellen Kennedy says she was excited to overhear two graduates who 'raved' about the program at a dentist's office. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Community College's Medical Coding and Health Information Management Program has seen around 150 graduates since its inception in 2014.
Many have found the career path to be rewarding and accessible, as Berkshire County residents can work for top medical institutions remotely.

BOSTON, Mass, — The state's October total unemployment rate was 3.9 percent, a 0.1 percentage point increase from the revised September estimate of 3.8 percent, the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development announced. The Massachusetts unemployment rate was 0.2 percentage points lower than the national rate of 4.1 percent reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Over-the-year, the state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was up by 0.5 percentage points.
