Pittsfield Collision Detours Traffic on Merrill RoadStaff Reports, 03:44PM / Wednesday, June 25, 2025 | |
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Merrill Road and Plastics Avenue partially shut down the roadway for nearly an hour. There was a collision at about 2:30 p.m. involving a black Honda sedan and a white GMC extended-cab pickup truck, and possibly another pickup. The sedan suffered extensive front-end damage and the GMC suffered significant damage to the rear driver's side. The third pickup also appeared to have some damage on the rear driver's side. LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — The Select Board welcomed a new member on Monday and elected Deborah Maynard as chair. Last week, just under 4 percent of the town's registered voters turned out for the election of a Select Board member, two Finance Committee seats, and more. Jason Breault secured a three-year seat on the board, replacing Timothy Sorrell, who did not stand for election. "It's great to have Jason on board. I'm really happy," Maynard said.
