Pittsfield: Temporary traffic restrictions on North Street01:22PM / Tuesday, October 24, 2023 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Due to underground utility work conducted by Eversource, temporary traffic restrictions will be in place on North Street, at the Linden Street/Maplewood Avenue intersection, beginning on Thursday, Oct. 26. This work is expected to continue over the next several weeks. While this work is underway, the city encourages drivers to seek alternate routes and follow the designated signs. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Mayor Linda Tyer is requesting an amendment to the Housing Development Zone and a 10-year tax increment exemption for a proposed housing development on Wendell Avenue. 786 Holdings LLC wants to convert a commercial building at 100 Wendell Ave. into 28 units of mixed-income rental. The "Pointe" will contain six units of affordable rental housing and 22 units of market-rate rental housing.
