Post 68 Juniors Top East Longmeadow09:47PM / Thursday, July 11, 2024 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Matt Egan went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double and three RBIs Thursday to lead the Pittsfield Post 68 Juniors to an 11-1 win over East Longmeadow Post 293 in American Legion Baseball on Buddy Pellerin Field. Simon Mele struck out eight and did not allow a hit in four innings of work on the mound. Egan struck out a pair in a scoreless fifth inning to lockdown the mercy rule win. Mele tripled, and Ethan O'Donnell and Jack Farkas each doubled in a six hit attack for Post 68, which made the most of five East Longmeadow errors. These agreements allow the Fire Department's advanced life support ambulance to assist other departments' basic life support ambulances. Advanced life support is the highest level of care a department can provide. It can include pushing drugs and cardiac issues, among other conditions, Fire Chief Christian Tobin said. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The City Council approved multiple property easements for the state's reconstruction of East Street, paving the way for construction next year. This includes takings of 12 permanent easements, 14 temporary easements, and two layout alterations and permanent parcel takings for the reconstruction project led by the state Department of Transportation. A total of $10,000 will be paid out to property owners for permanent easements, with 765 East Street LLC receiving almost $4,000 for two parcels of land. Temporary easements will cost more than $73,000, with 765 East Street LLC reviewing the largest award of more than $11,600. There is also $1,680 in damage

The School Committee on Monday unanimously voted Jennifer Stokes into the role. A special meeting was held at the Mercer Administration Building following a formal interview process. Roots & Dreams and Mustard Seeds of Pittsfield is leading the effort after receiving a grant to acquire the beloved business that closed shop last year.
