Pittsfield Cooperative Bank Opens New Branch, Unveils New Signage12:00PM / Friday, June 21, 2024 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Pittsfield Cooperative Bank (Coop Bank) opened the doors to its newest and fifth branch office, 734 Williams Street, on Saturday, March 30. The location has not been occupied by a financial institution since late 2021. This is the first branch for Coop Bank since opening its Dalton Avenue location in 1999. The Williams Street branch features a new drive-up ATM/ITM, two drive-up teller lanes, safe deposit boxes and four interior teller windows. The reserve fund balance is currently $58,000, Town Manager Thomas Hutcheson said. The committee also approved a reserve fund transfer to the employee fringe benefits account for $1,200; the current balance is $183.55. The town originally appropriated $2,114. It also approved the transfer of $1,500 from the reserve fund to the Medicare account, which currently has a balance of $4,510. The town originally appropriated $50,000. MassDEP Air Quality Advisory Continues08:24AM / Thursday, June 20, 2024 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Due to elevated levels of ozone expected Thursday, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) has issued an air quality alert effective 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. on June 20, 2024, in nine counties across Massachusetts. This includes Berkshire County. Air quality is expected to be unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include people with heart or lung disease, such as asthma, older adults, children, teenagers, and people who are active outdoors.
