BHS Opening Urgent-Care Facility in Lenox04:03PM / Tuesday, September 10, 2024 | | LENOX, Mass. — Berkshire Health Systems is opening a second urgent-care location, with a new facility being developed at 489 Pittsfield Road, in the Center at Lenox. The facility is expected to open this winter. Berkshire Health Urgent Care in Lenox will provide accessible care for minor illness and injuries, as well as on-site X-ray services and testing for common illnesses. Like its counterpart in Pittsfield, the Lenox site will also provide patients with access to BHS's coordinated system of care and fostering collaboration across each patient's team of providers.  PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A new logo is ready for takeoff at the Pittsfield Municipal Airport. The Airport Commission last week approved a cleaner design that depicts a jet flying over a green mountainscape. It is a far cry from the former branding, which had more than 10 saturated colors. "Our current logo has probably 13 colors in it, which is difficult to do anything with. It was formatted in a way that we really didn't have much control over how to use it," Airport Manager Daniel Shearer said. GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Registration is ongoing for the 25th annual Monument Cup 3-on-3 youth soccer tournament. The event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29, at Monument Mountain Regional High School. Teams of up to four players are eligible to compete in boys and girls divisions in the under-10, under-12 and under-14 age groups. The registration fee is $100 per team, and all teams are guaranteed at least three matches with the top four teams in each division advancing to the semi-finals. Space is limited. At the last City Council meeting, Ward 5 Councilor Patrick Kavey presented a petition requesting that Marchetti and Commissioner Ricardo Morales restructure the department. These include a nine-month stay limit for families waiting to find permanent housing and up to five days at a respite site across the state.
