PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce will present the 2013 Berkshire Home Expo on the weekend of March 8-10 at the Berkshire Mall in Lanesborough.
Thousands come from all corners of Western Massachusetts to attend this annual event, which is open and free to the public during mall hours.
More than 20 exhibitors have already secured booth space, include those offering landscaping services; home renovations and expansions; appliances; financial services; and even "green" and solar options for your home. Booth space is extremely limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Carr Hardware announced the opening of Carr Rental, a complete, fully expanded rental store located at 549 and 551 North St., next door to Carr Hardware.
The new store expands the previous offering by tripling the size and breath of items available to rent. Carr Rental will now offer the area's most complete rental center including a complete party and event showroom with tents, tables, chairs, china and glassware, an expanded concession rental, carnival games, bouncers and inflatables as well as all the general tools and equipment.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Small-business development organizations and U.S. Rep. Richard Neal are sponsoring a forum on how local companies could benefit from exporting their products.
The Pittsfield Export Forum on Tuesday, Jan. 29, will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza will feature two panel talks, followed by a luncheon with the congressman.
The forum sessions are free and open to all area businesses.
Neal will join the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce for a luncheon following the forum at the Crowne Plaza at noon in the ballroom; the cost is $35. Register for the luncheon here.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Bank will celebrate the grand opening of its newest full-service branch located at 99 North St. with a ribbon cutting ceremony and family day event.
First, the ribbon cutting ceremony will be on Jan. 16 at 11 a.m. During the event the Berkshire Bank Foundation will present two $1,500 grants – one to Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires to support the organization’s Suit YourSelf program and one to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire County Regional Employment Board and BerkshireWorks Career Center have open seats for two grant-related sessions.
This first session will focus on safety grants with a presentation by Kathleen Manson, director at the office of safety of the Department of Industrial Accidents. The industrial accidents department awards up to $25,000 to organizations to fund workplace safety training.
The safety grant session will take place on Friday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. at the second-floor conference room of 1 Berkshire Building (66 Allen St.)
