The 15 Year Old Babe Ruth All Star Tournament started Thursday night with North Adams defeating Adams at Joe Wolf Field 6-5. Ian Brink pitched five innings and recorded six strike outs to pick up the win. He also helped himself by driving in two runs with a single. Dan Flynn also had a single and scored two runs.
For Adams Eric Sneizek pitched six innings with three strike outs, but took the loss. Zach Wright had three hits for Adams including a double, and Mike Koperniak recorded two hits, one being a double and a run scored.
Pittsfield - 20
South Berkshire - 0
Pittsfield's Devon Johnston, Joey Dewey and Kevin Donati combined to pitch a five inning no hitter in the second game of the evening against South Berkshire. Mitch Cleary had three hits, including a triple, scored four runs and had an RBI. Kevin Donati also had a triple to go with two runs scored.
For South Berkshire James Allentuck pitched five innings in the loss.

Pittsfield - 13
Adams - 0
Pittsfield went to 2-0 in the Babe Ruth 15 Year Old Tournament, beating Adams 13-0. Bobby New picked up the win pitching three strong innings. He had one strike out. Mitch Cleary again had three hits including another triple to go with four runs scored and an RBI. Kevin Donati smacked three hits and three RBI.
For Adams Austin Miles pitched four innings and took the loss. Sean Davis and Austin Miles each had a hit.
North Adams - 18
South Berkshire - 1
North Adams's Jake Benzinger, Travis Doborwicz, Eli Howland and Jake Tatro combined for a one hitter agaist South Berkshire on Friday night. Robby Buffis had two hits and scored three runs. Eli Howland also had two hits with a triple and Delaney Pudvar scored three runs. For South Berkshire Trevor MacFarland was the losing pitcher going five innings and striking out two. Trevor also had a single while Trevor Hathoway scored the only South Berkshire run.
On Saturday 6/30/12 Adams will face South Berkshire and North Adams goes up against Pittsfield.
