WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — A Cobbleview Road residence was broken into late Wednesday afternoon as police were investigating an earlier burglary on the same road.
Police were at the first residence at about 5 p.m. when a neighbor reported the motion lights coming on at another Cobbleview Road home. As officers approached the residence, they heard what sounded like a person running from the area into the woods. A search was conducted by second-shift officers, including Officer Michael Ziemba and Blue, and North Adams Police officers but no suspect was found.
The house had been forcibly entered and property stolen. The state police Crimes Services Section was contacted to assist in the investigation.
Williamstown Police are asking residents to be alert to unusual or suspicious vehicles and to contact the police at 413-458-5733 to report any suspicious activity.

Hmmmmm.... iberkshires made it sound like Veremko was the guy who was responsible for all of the area breakins. Guess not. We're hearing about breakins in Florida Mt., Clarksburg, NA, Cheshire over the last month.
Nice work iBerkshires. You've become a tool for the cops to spread their lies and half-truths about solving area crimes
I don't like being called a tool and I didn't make it sound like he was responsible for all the break-ins. The police said quite clearly he wasn't - but they could link him to a lot of them. And that was less than 10 in two towns.
And why would you assume that the arrest of one person would stop break-ins? North Adams reported 250 break-ins in 2008. You think one guy's responsible for all of those?
Maybe what you're hearing is more victims willing to speak publicly about crime because we're trying to give them an outlet. So there.
Wow. This is getting bad around here. Time to do something people! Get up and do something for your community, street and family.
Did everyone see the article in The Transcript about the cops not doing their jobs? Something needs to be done.
