Helen C. Molleur, 89, of Fairview Commons, formerly of 48 Eleanor Road, died Thursday at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington.
Born in Burlington, Vt., on Jan. 11, 1912, daughter of George and Cecile Genette Mongeon, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed by A.H. Rice Silk Mill.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church, and enjoyed entering contests, crossword puzzles, horse racing, cards, and golfing.
Her husband, Henry Molleur, whom she married in 1934, died April 30, 1973.
She leaves four sons, Lawrence P. Molleur and Wayne G. Molleur Sr., both of Pittsfield, William H. Molleur of West Lebanon, N.Y., and Donald J. Molleur of Blakeley, Ga.; a sister, Isabelle Plankey of Pittsfield; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Taylor Leanne Jansen, who died Dec. 15, 2000.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Earl A. Hebert, pastor of Notre Dame Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME.
