PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Elizabeth Corner Swanson, 84, of 23-A Highview Drive died Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at her home.



Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on June 16, 1932, the daughter of Raymond and Elisabeth MacAlpin Severe, she was educated in Maryland and New York schools.



Mrs. Swanson was a homemaker. She had, in earlier years, worked for England Brothers Department Store. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.



She leaves her husband, Bradford Swanson, whom she married April 24, 1954; three sons, William B. Swanson and his companion Pat of Adams, Robert K. Swanson of Dalton and Bruce D. Swanson and his wife Linda of Groton, Mass.; a sister, Jessie Robson of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Skylar Swanson, Aubrey Swanson, Brianne Swanson, Benjamin Swanson and Anna Swanson; and a great-granddaughter, Lily.



Funeral notice: Funeral services for Elizabeth Corner Swanson, who died June 22, 2016, will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
