Joan Monterosso, 75

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Joan Monterosso, 75, of Wahconah Heights, Pittsfield, died Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Hillcrest Commons. 



Born in Pittsfield on April 20, 1941, the daughter of Edward E. and Leah Hooper Archey, she was a graduate of St. Joseph Central High School. 



Mrs. Monterosso was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Charles Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She also volunteered her time in the Pastoral Care office at Berkshire Medical Center. 



Being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought her greatest joy. She also enjoyed taking walks. 



Mrs. Monterosso is survived by three daughters, Carol Tatro and her husband Delphos of Adams, Brenda Bigelow of Pittsfield, and Sandra Dellert and her husband, Michael of Pittsfield; two sons, Richard LeVardi Jr. and his wife Katherine of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Michael LeVardi and his wife Karen Adler of Pittsfield; three sisters, her twin, Jean Archey of Cornville, Arizona, Regina Decker of East Greenbush, New York, and Patricia Archey of Worcester, Mass.; three brothers, Edward E. Archey Jr., of Troy, Michigan, Richard Archey of Pittsfield, and Lawrence Archey of Springfield; 10 grandchildren, Delphos, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Cortney, Jonathan, Cameron, Chloe, Chad, Bryan, and Lauren; and seven great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Ethan, Brendan, Vincent, Autumn, Baylie, and Alexis. 



She was predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Ann Margaret; and a sister, Gladys.



Funeral notice: Funeral services for Joan Monterosso, 75, will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Church or to Hospice Care in The Berkshires both in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
