Regina M. Ferriter

PITTSFIELD -- Regina Marie Ferriter, 66, of 16 Essex St. died yesterday at Providence Health Care Center in Lenox following a long illness.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Dec. 5, 1934, daughter of Cornelius and Mary Dunn Shea, she moved to Pittsfield as a young child and graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1952.
Mrs. Ferriter was employed as a supervisor for Information Resources of Illinois, and worked as a bookkeeper for A.I.C. Gold Investment Inc. until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Mark's Parish, where she was a lector and a member of the Parish Bingo Committee. She was also president of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 446 and held a district office position. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
She leaves her husband, Edmond L. Ferriter, whom she married Dec. 6, 1952; three daughters, Laurie A. Altsman and Ann E. Doyle, both of Pittsfield, and Jodimarie R. Welch of Easthampton; three sons, Robert M. Ferriter of North Adams, Michael E. Ferriter of Pittsfield and Edmond L. Ferriter Jr. of Glendale, Ariz., and 10 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Jarret J. Ferriter, who died June 23, 1979.
Regina M. Ferriter, 66, died in Pittsfield on Thursday, Jan. 11. Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 15, at 8:15 a.m. from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Mark's Church, celebrated by the Rev. William Eckert. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home, in her memory.
