De'Moni Rose, 10

July 04, 2022

PITTSFIELD, Mass. —  De’Moni Sincere Rose, 10, of Pittsfield died on Monday, July 4, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pittsfield on March 16, 2012, a son of Carlton Rose and Sheena McCartney.

De'Moni was a student at Kidzone and Morningside Community School. He loved hanging out with his classmates, playing basketball, riding his bike, "gaming" with his friends, jumping on the trampoline and most importantly loved spending time with his little sister, and loving parents. De'Moni was a proud big brother, and protector of his sister, Sanaiyah.

De'Moni was a proud member of the Boys Club & CYC Basketball League, YMCA, city of Pittsfield Football Club, and Little League of Pittsfield. He loved sports, but most importantly loved being part of a team. The passion and determination he showed on the field helped him during his fight with cancer.

De'Moni leaves his loving parents, Carlton Rose and Sheena McCartney of Pittsfield, and his sister, Sanaiyah Rose and three aunts, one uncle, paternal and maternal grandparents and his puppy Rosie, as well as many cousins and a host of relatives.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for De'Moni Rose will be private for family and friends at Pittsfield Cemetery on Monday, July 18, 2022, at noon. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 18, from 3-7 p.m. at Tavern At the A, 303 Crane Ave., Pittsfield. I am blessed to have many great memories of Moni. He was a delight in the classroom and a friend too all. His love for sports was evident in the classroom. His smile will always be remembered. I know he will be by Sanaiyah's side protecting her and guiding her along the way. Hugs and prayers to you all.
