Sharron Lee Clairmont, 46, of 65 Columbus Ave. died Thursday at home.
Born in Hollywood, Calif., on Jan. 28, 1954, daughter of Angela Stockley Newton and the late Dale Newton Sr., she attended schools in Pittsfield and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A homemaker, she had been a foster mother to many children.
Ms. Clairmont was a member of St. Stephen's Church. She was mechanically inclined.
Besides her mother of Pittsfield, she leaves a son, Jason Dale Clairmont of Pittsfield; two daughters, Christine L. Clairmont of Pittsfield and Rebecca R. Carmel of Dalton; two brothers, John H. Newton and Donald Rounds, both of Pittsfield; two sisters, Connie A. Brodeur and Deborah J. Newton, both of Pittsfield, and two granddaughters. She also leaves her former husband, David Lee Clairmont of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Services for Sharron Lee Clairmont, 46, who died Jan. 25, 2001 will be Monday, Jan. 29, at noon at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., with the Rev. Marguerite Kohn, priest associate at St. Stephen's Church, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to establish an education fund for her grandchildren. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Cassandra Marie Clairmont and Ciana Clairmont, and a goddaughter, Kathleen M. Newton. She was predeceased by a brother, Dale E. Newton Jr., in 1975.
