PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Faith C. Walker-Heard, 67, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 17, 2025, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew her. 

Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 22, 1958, to Frank Walker and Margaret (Ridley) Walker, she was a shining example of resilience and determination. A 1976 graduate of Taconic High School, she furthered her education by attending many trade schools, continually striving for excellence and laying the foundation for a life of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. Recently, she continued to pursue her educational goals at Berkshire Community College, demonstrating her commitment to personal growth and self-improvement. 

She was married to the love of her life and best friend, Keith Heard, who predeceased her on Sept. 2, 2020. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Faith's selfless nature shone brightly through her work as a personal care attendant for many years. 

Faith touched countless lives with her compassion, empathy, and kindness. She took immense pride in caring for her family, friends, and clients. Faith's zest for life was contagious. Her passions were a testament to her vibrant spirit: she loved wine, dancing, listening to old-school music, and partying with loved ones. She savored life's simple pleasures: enjoying trips to the beach, collecting knick-knacks, and cooking. Her passion for cooking was a gift, filling the bellies of those around her with delicious meals. Christmas was her favorite holiday, a time of magic and joy that always held a special place in her heart. 

Faith's memory lives on through her three children, Corey F. Walker and his wife, Joelle, of Pittsfield, Cassie L. Holmberg and her husband, Derek, of Dalton, and Collin A. Gardner of Pittsfield, with whom she lived. She leaves behind her 12 beloved grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, her brother, Frank "Butch" Walker Jr., and his wife, Pennie, of Pittsfield. 

She was predeceased by her sisters, Rodger Elmore and Gina Walker, and her brother, Jonathan "Jonny" Walker. Faith's radiant spirit will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew and loved her, and her legacy of love, devotion, and inspiration will live on forever.
