Dennis Bogaevski, 36

May 15, 2025

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Dennis Bogaevski passed away unexpectedly, way too young, on May 15, 2025, at the age of 36.

The Son of Tanya and Konstantin Bogaevski of Pittsfield, he was born in Russia and brought to the US when he was only four years of age.

Happy and outgoing child, rebellious teenager, adventurous adult – he lived his life dangerously close to the edge but always remembered to give homage to truth, honor, and justice.

His best friends were books. Dennis found his comfort in music and nature and his excitement in cars and extreme sports. Car racing was his favorite, and flying a plane was on his bucket list.

A 2006 graduate of Pittsfield High School, he never stopped learning new concepts and skills, applying his brilliant mind to expand his horizons. Dennis was often the focal point of gatherings, bringing people together with his creative spirit and quirky sense of humor. He will be remembered for his unforgettable personality, the way he made people laugh, his loyalty and genuine heart.

In his last earthly years, Dennis successfully owned and operated an LLC and worked as an Automotive Painter in Massachusetts, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Dennis is survived by his parents and his grandmothers, Svetlana Firsova and Nadejda Bogaevskaya.

Family and friends are invited to the St. Nicholas Orthodox church at 1304 North Street, Pittsfield, MA on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025 at 9:00 am – funeral, followed by burial at Pittsfield Cemetery at 10:30 am.

Donations in Dennis's memory can be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 1304 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201
