Edwin P. Lamont

Edwin Percy Lamont, 73, of Southampton, Pa., a native of Pittsfield, died Saturday at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa., after a brief illness.
Born on Aug. 17, 1928, son of Raymond Peet and Roberta Bonet Percy Lamont, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1946. He moved to Pennsylvania in 1964.
A Korean War Army veteran, he served from 1951 to 1953.
Mr. Lamont was employed by GE from 1951 until 1964. In Pennsylvania, he was a purchasing agent for Yale Materials Handling Division, retiring in 1995.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, the former Barbara Clow; a daughter, Karen Anne Lamont of Furlong, Pa., and a sister, Janet Martin of Columbia, S.C. He was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Frank and Robert Lamont.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Edwin Percy Lamont's funeral Mass tomorrow (Tuesday) at 12:30 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton. Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:15 to 12:15 at JAMES J. MCGHEE FUNERAL HOME, 2nd St. Pike and Belmont Avenue, Southampton. Contributions may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
