Elizabeth Pellizzaro

Elizabeth Irene Pellizzaro, 93, of Monroeville, Pa., formerly of Pittsfield, died Saturday at Beverly Manor in Monroeville.

She and her husband, Oliver O. "Red" Pellizzaro, owned and operated Red's Dairy Bar, a pizza stand and petting zoo on Cheshire Road in Lanesboro for 20 years. She retired in 1965 and moved to Lake Katherine, Fla. She moved to Monroeville in 1983.

Born in Great Barrington on Sept. 29, 1907, daughter of John and Mariana Hortoski Horonzy, she attended Great Barrington schools.

Her husband, whom she married in 1927, died April 9, 1969.

She leaves two sisters, Alice Guidi and Virginia Beligni, both of Great Barrington; a brother, Frank Horonzy of Palm City, Fla.; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John Pellizzaro, and a daughter, Marion Enright.

The funeral will be tomorrow at 9:30 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 8:30 until the time of the funeral.
