Phyllis L. Spadafora, 84, of 420 Monroe Ave., Cape Canaveral, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died March 6 at home.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 17, 1917, she was the daughter of Biago and Carmella Lombardi Lemone. She attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School. She moved to Florida in 1984.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Church of Our Saviour in Cocoa Beach, Fla., where she volunteered as a bereavement counselor and worked in the church thrift shop. She was also a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Cape Coasters.
In Pittsfield, she was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and a member of its Ladies' Guild. She had worked at the former Hashim's grocery store.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Spadafora, whom she married Sept. 4, 1937, at Mount Carmel Church.
She leaves a daughter, Wilma Conte of Port Orange, Fla.; a son, William A. Spadafora of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a brother, Louis Lamone of Lenox; four grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
