Catherine Taylor, 93, of Agney Avenue, Terryville, Conn., died Monday at Shady Oaks Retirement Center in Bristol, Conn.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 26, 1907, daughter of James and Mary Farrell Gaul, she was a 1931 graduate of St. Francis' School of Nursing. She had been a resident of Terryville since 1935.
Mrs. Taylor was employed as a nurse at the Plainville Convalescent Hospital prior to her retirement in 1972.
She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of its Women's Guild and Rosary Society.
She leaves two sons, Thomas J. Taylor of Terryville and William J. Taylor of Wilbraham; a daughter, Catherine C. Taylor of Dalton, and five grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 from SCOTT FUNERAL HOME, 169 Main St., Terryville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Terryville. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8. Memorial donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception-St. Casimer CCD Hall Building Fund, 21 Maple St., Terryville, CT 06786, or to Shady Oaks Assisted Living Center, 344 Stevens St., Bristol, CT 06010.
