Walter Joseph Wick, 83, of 363 Columbus Ave. died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on April 9, 1917, son of George and Alma Obert Wick, he attended local schools.
Mr. Wick was employed as a laborer for Peter Francese, Allegrone, Tierney and Petricca construction companies. He retired several years ago.
He enjoyed playing bingo.
He leaves a brother, Frederick L. Wick of Pittsfield, and his longtime companion, Ruth Kickery Mancini of Pittsfield.
Services will be tomorrow, Wednesday, at 1 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., with the Rev. William D. Furey of Berkshire Union Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home. Mr. Wick is survived by his brother, Frederick L. Wick; his sister-in-law, Lolita Shallies Wick, and his longtime companion, Ruth Kickery Mancini.
