Theodore M. Wood, 75, of 145 Robbins Ave. died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 26, 1931, son of Raymond and Blanche Lee Wood, he attended schools in the town of Washington.
Mr. Wood was employed by Lenco Industries in the maintenance department for 10 years, retiring in 1995. Before that, he was a truck driver for J. Donovan & Sons Inc. Sand and Gravel in Stockbridge for 15 years. He also worked for a time at the Berkshire Humane Society.
He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed hunting, camping and working on cars.
He and his wife, the former Therese Reilly, were married Jan. 26, 1950, at St. Mary's Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, John Wood of Hudson, N.Y., and Michael Wood, Daniel Wood and Richard Wood, all of Pittsfield; two daughters, Mary Parker and Kathleen Regalmann, both of Adams; 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by another daughter, Nancy Wood.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Theodore M. "Ted" Wood, 75, who died June 27, 2006, will be Friday, June 30, at 9, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
He also leaves his daughters-in-law, Kathryn Wood, Ellen Wood and Cathy Lucier. He was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond Wood Jr., and Charles and John Wood, and by two sisters, Ethel Wood and Lillian Vogel.
