Brenda E. Colvin Hall, 55, of 1277 North St. died Tuesday afternoon at Hillcrest Commons Health Care Facility, where she was a patient for the past month and a half.
Born in Pittsfield on June 18, 1951, daughter of Vera Cornwell Colvin Carder and the late Gerald F. Colvin, she was a 1969 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She spent most of her life in Pittsfield and West Stockbridge, but lived in Arizona for four years and in Florida for six years.
She was employed at Country Curtains as a seamstress for 17 years before retiring in 2000 due to ill health.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in West Stockbridge and enjoyed playing bingo.
Besides her mother, she leaves her stepfather, Nick Carder of Pittsfield; a daughter, Carrie Amidon of Pittsfield; a son, Richard Briggs Jr. of Pittsfield; a sister, Susan M. Newton of Pittsfield, and a brother, Gerald F. Colvin Jr. of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Brenda Colvin Hall, who died Tuesday, June 27, 2006, will take place on Saturday, July 1, at 10 a.m. from DYWER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. St. Patrick's Church, West Stockbridge, with the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in West Stockbridge. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Friday, June 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her mother, Vera Carder, in care of the funeral home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. A brother, Robert F. Colvin, died March 5, 1997.
