Robert Paris

June 27, 2006

Robert Paris, 69, of Francis Plaza, Apt. 22, died Tuesday at home.

Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 29, 1936, son of Vincent and Blanche Nutbrown Paris, he was a 1954 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

A lifelong resident of Pittsfield, he was employed as a mechanic at Johnson Ford for 21 years, retiring in 1996.

He was a member of the Marine Corps League and the Polish Falcons.

He enjoyed dancing and spending time with family and friends.

He leaves his former wife, Genevieve Conncannon of Dutton, Va.; three daughters, Kathleen A. Kuriek of Pittsfield and Sandra Houser and Colleen Ostellino, both of Dutton, Va.; a son, Joseph R. Paris of Pittsfield; a brother, Vincent E. Paris of Pittsfield; two sisters, Maryann Ferris of Pittsfield and Eva Santy of Hondo, Texas; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Robert Paris, who died in Pittsfield on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 1,at DWYER FUNERAL HOME.

Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. Mr. Paris leaves his two close friends, Linda and Nobeie. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and William Paris.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League in care of the funeral home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
