Madolyne E. Turner

Madolyne E. Turner, 98, of 44 Marcella Way died Friday at Providence Care Center in Lenox, where she had resided for two months.

Born in Middletown, N.Y., on Aug. 28, 1907, daughter of William and Orpha Osborne, she attended Pittsfield High School.

Mrs. Turner was a homemaker.

She enjoyed sewing, watching baseball and playing cards.

She attended First Baptist Church.

She and her husband, Frederick C. Turner, were married May 29, 1923. He died Nov. 2, 1987.

She leaves three sons, Edward C. Turner, Kenneth L. Turner and Richard W. Turner, all of Pittsfield; a sister, Helen Gabriel of Winslow, Maine; a brother, Harold Osborne of Kensington, Conn.; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Madolyne E. Turner, who died Friday, July 7, 2006, will be conducted Tuesday, July 11, at 11 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, by the Rev. Dr. Robert Rennie, pastor of First Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, July 9, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.

She also leaves three daughters-in-law, Eleanor, Anna and Regina.
