Harold Edward Dunham

Harold Edward Dunham, 71, of Pittsfield died Monday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on July 2, 1935, he was the son of Harold M. and Sara Gibbons Dunham. His mother died in childbirth, and he was raised by his stepmother, Elvera Zuccaro Dunham.
He was a graduate of Pittsfield schools.
He served in the Army.
Mr. Dunham was a printer for many years at the former Ben Franklin Press, where he served as a union steward. When the firm left the city, he became partners with Jim Giacoletto at West Side Texaco, operating a repair shop for many years.
He then worked for Jack Mulcare Motor Supply as a road salesman in Berkshire County. In 1981, he opened Auto Parts of Pittsfield at 190 West St., where he employed 10 people.
In 1985, he managed the former Your Pet Supermarket on Elm Street. In 1989, he went to work for Johnson Ford in the parts department. In the early 1990s, he became employed by Flynn's Home Medical as a medical equipment technician and oxygen driver. He retired from there in 2000 and returned to Johnson Ford as a shuttle driver, where he remained until 2005.
At the time of his death, he was employed by United Auto Supply as a delivery driver.
He enjoyed landscaping and hockey.
He and his wife, the former Sandra Mosher, were married Feb. 27, 1970.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Todd Dunham of Peru; a daughter, Tami Haskell of Goshen; a sister, Barbara Tart of Lee, and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Harold E. Dunham, who died Monday, July 10, 2006, at home surrounded by his family, is remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was closely involved in all of their lives.
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jessica Haskell, Jeffrey Haskell and Cameron Dunham, as well as by his son-in-law, Todd Haskell, and his daughter-in-law, Hayley Dunham.
Calling hours will be tomorrow, July 13, from 5 to 7 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, which will conclude with a reading by the Rev. Charles F. Young.
Burial will be private. Contributions in memory of Mr. Dunham may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
