Mary A. Salvaggio, 84, of Syracuse, N.Y., formerly of Pittsfield, died yesterday at St. Camillus Health Center in Syracuse.
Born in Syracuse on July 19, 1921, daughter of John and Angeline Magnarelli Carocci, she attended schools there.
She moved to Pittsfield in 1959 and returned to Syracuse in 2002.
Mrs. Salvaggio was employed by Syracuse Ornamental for 15 years and also worked at General Electric Co.
Her husband, Antonio Salvaggio, died in 1996.
She leaves a stepson, Frank Salvaggio of Pittsfield; a sister, Jean Christopher of Camillus, N.Y.; three brothers, her twin, Peter Carocci of Mattydale, N.Y.; Phil Carocci of Geddes, N.Y., and Ted Carocci of the state of Florida.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mary A. Carocci Salvaggio, who died peacefully with family at her side on Thursday, July 13, 2006, will be tomorrow, July 15, at 8:30 from TINDALL FUNERAL HOME, 1921 W. Genesee St., Syracuse, N.Y. and a Mass of Resurrection at 9 at Our Lady of Pompei Church.
Burial will be Monday at 1 in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Camillus, D Unit, 813 Fay Road, Syracuse, NY 13219.
She also leaves two sisters-in-law, Ann (Peter) Carocci and Martha (Ted) Carocci, and several nieces and nephews.
