Helen Kordana Soeten, 83, of 207 Alice Drive, Coventry, Conn., formerly of 200 Melbourne Road, Pittsfield, died Friday at Hartford (Conn.) Hospital.
Born in Easthampton on Dec. 16, 1922, daughter of Stanley and Anna Golas Bednarczyk, she attended schools there.
Mrs. Soeten was a homemaker.
While in Pittsfield, she was a communicant of St. Mark's Church.
Her first husband, Alexander Kordana, whom she married May 7, 1949, died Sept. 29, 1990.
She and her husband, Herman Soeten, were married July 23, 1994.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Alexander Kordana of Clearwater, Fla., and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mrs. Helen Kordana Soeten, who died Friday, July 21, 2006, was a loving grandmother to Melanie and mother-in-law to Linda Kordana.
The funeral will be tomorrow, July 28, at 10 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield MA 01201, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Mark's Church celebrated by the Rev. John Salatino, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today from 4 to 7. If friends desire, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home in her memory.
