Stanislaw L. Kozlowski

Stanislaw L. Kozlowski, 46, of 61 Union St. died after a long illness Saturday at Hillcrest Commons, where he had resided since Tuesday.
Born in Pittsfield on May 7, 1960, son of Stella Ozga Kozlowski and the late Stanislaw A. Kozlowski, he was a 1978 graduate of Taconic High School. In 1982, he received a bachelor of science degree in finance from Fordham University in New York.
Mr. Kozlowski resided in Manhattan from 1978 to 1990 while working in banking in New York. He returned to Pittsfield in 1990 and was employed by various auto dealerships for 14 years. He retired from East Street Auto Mall in 2004 because of ill health.
He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, where he was a longtime altar server, and a member of the Elks Club.
He enjoyed antique cars, going to local car shows and collecting die-cast cars.
Besides his mother, of Pittsfield, he leaves two brothers, John E. Kozlowski of Pittsfield and Theodore Kozlowski of Austin, Texas, and two sisters, Viktoria V. Lawrence of Murrieta, Calif., and Teresa J. Setian of Oak Hill, Va.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Stan L. Kozlowski, 46, of Pittsfield, who died Aug. 19, 2006, will be Thursday, Aug. 24, at 8:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at Holy Family Church celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Stan also leaves his nieces and nephews, Christopher and Jeffrey Setian, Joseph and Eric Kozlowski, and Allie Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Stan may be made to the American Red Cross or to Holy Family Church, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
