Donna M. Adams, 58, of 20 Riverview Homes died Tuesday of a stroke at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on May 30, 1948, daughter of Reno N. and Grace Tassone Pellegrino, she attended local schools and was a 1966 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She and her husband, Nick Adams, were married July 26, 1997, in Shirley.
Besides her husband, she leaves a brother, Frank Pellegrino of West Stockbridge. A son, Darren Alexander, died Aug. 12, 1999.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Donna M. Pellegrino Adams, who died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, will be on Friday at 9:15 a.m. from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, celebrated by the Rev. William P. Murphy, pastor of St. Peter's Church in Great Barrington.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. As per her request, there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to The Pediatric Development Center in care of the funeral home. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Patricia Pellegrino; her niece, Lauren Pellegrino; and many cousins and several aunts. On her husband's side of the family, she leaves many close family members, whom she loved dearly. Donna was a lifelong music lover who loved spending time partying with her many friends or having cookouts with her family.
She valued family and lovingly cared for her 13-year-old son Darren throughout his brief life. She was a most courageous person, who fought to live life as fully as possible. She was generous and caring to those who loved her. Her wonderful smile and terrific sense of humor will be greatly missed. We can find peace in knowing she is reunited with her son, Darren, and her parents.
