Michael Slosky

Michael Slosky, 76, of 176 Columbus Ave. died Thursday at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 31, 1930, son of Nicholas and Mary Souwich Sokolowski, his original name, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1948.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and served in the military for 11 years.
An electrician, Mr. Slosky worked for several local contractors, retiring in 1998.
He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of IBEW Electrical Contractors Union in Springfield.
He enjoyed bowling and gardening and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
He and his wife, the former Paulita Lussier, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Aug. 22.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Michael Slosky of Pittsfield; two daughters, Susan Dea of Limerick, Pa., and Jan Drager of Collegeville, Pa.; a brother, John Sokolowski of Springfield; three sisters, Madeline Galeucia of Dalton, and Marion Loehr and Anne Monroe, both of Pittsfield; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services and burial for Michael Slosky, who died Sept. 14, 2006, will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Joseph's Church for Masses to be said in his memory, in care of TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220, which is in charge of arrangements.
He also leaves two grandchildren, with whom he enjoyed spending time, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Katherine Hosier and Doris Intellisano.
