Eleanor Louise Previtali, 71, formerly of 379 East St. died Thursday at the Hannah Duston Health Care Center in Haverhill.
Born in Pittsfield on June 1, 1935, daughter of Abrian and Lucy Daly Prew, she attended Pittsfield Schools including St. Joseph's High School in Pittsfield.
She was employed by Pittsfield Rye Bakery in Pittsfield for 30 years until her retirement in 1997.
Mrs. Previtali was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Pittsfield, and enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod.
Her husband, Richard L. Previtali, whom she married Nov. 13, 1981, died Nov. 4, 1994.
She leaves a son, James R. Corkins of Adams; two daughters, Deborah A. MacArthur of North Andover, and Barbara A. Richards of Pittsfield; a sister, Mary Nash of Pittsfield; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Eleanor Louise Previtali, who died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, will take place Monday, Oct. 2, at 7:45 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, Pittsfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 8:45 a.m. at Mount Carmel Church, with the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. Calling hours will be Sunday, Oct. 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marita Plantier and Martha Prew; and a brother, William Prew. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, in care of the funeral home, 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
