Edith May Woodbridge, 98, died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center after a brief illness.
She most recently resided at EPOCH Assisted Living at Melbourne, where she was the oldest resident.
She was born in Albany, N.Y., on Jan. 18, 1908, daughter of John and Anna Klossner.
She was employed as a seamstress for many years at the Jacobson Shirt Factory in Albany.
She enjoyed playing cards and traveling.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Woodbridge.
Mrs. Woodbridge leaves a son, Robert Woodbridge; a daughter, Louann Mason; two sisters, Anna and Bertha; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Edith May Woodbridge, who died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at NEW COMER-CANNON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155, south of Central Ave.). Calling hours on will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment in Memory's Garden, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany, NY 12206 or to the Humane Society in your area. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.newcomerfamily.com.
She had a great sense of humor, and spending time with her family. Everyone who met her loved her. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Betty; eight grandchildren, Frank, Bonnie, Wendy, Steven, Robin, Maureen, Paula and Laurie; her niece, Dorothy (Henry) Nichols; and her son-in-law, Frank Mason.
