Mary Louise Vadala, 81, of 327 South St. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 2, 1925, daughter of Philip and Louise Wilson Delano, she attended Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Vadala was employed by General Electric Co. for 32 years, retiring from the power transformer department in 1989.
She was a communicant of St. Teresa's Church and a former member of its Rosary Sodality.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, doing crossword puzzles and going to casinos.
She and her husband, Dominick Vadala, were married July 6, 1946. He died Feb. 2, 2001.
She leaves a daughter, Donna M. Vadala of Pittsfield; three brothers, Philip Delano, Bradford Delano and Thomas Delano, all of Pittsfield; and a sister, Phyllis Stankiewicz of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mary Louise (Delano) Vadala, who died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, will be Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Teresa's Church celebrated by the Rev. Mark Mengel, SSC. Entombment will be on the grounds of St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the funeral home.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Rose Vadala and Joan Delano, both of Pittsfield, and Anne Berutich of Venice, Fla. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and Richard Delano. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Teresa's Church or the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
She was a kind, loving person and was loved by all her relatives and many friends, and will be greatly missed by all.
