Etta M. Burghardt, 101, formerly of Pittsfield, died Oct. 5 at Greensboro Nursing Home.
Born in Stamford, Vt., on Jan. 19, 1905, daughter of James and Cora Bratton Andrew, she moved to Pittsfield as an infant and attended local schools.
A resident of Berkshire County for 95 years, she moved to the Craftsbury (Vt.) Community Care Center in 2000 to be near her daughter, Etta Peabody.
Mrs. Burghardt was a homemaker.
She attended Christian Science Church in Pittsfield.
She and her husband, Charles F. Burghardt, were married in 1923. He died in 1967.
Besides her daughter, of East Albany, Vt., she leaves three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Etta M. Burghardt died in her sleep on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006. A memorial service will be held at a later date, with interment in Millard Cemetery in Stamford, Vt. Arrangements by Malcolm R. Davis Funeral Home of Craftsbury Common.
