Frances M. Hoag, 75, of 193 Elberon Ave. died Wednesday at home.
Born in North Adams on May 30, 1931, daughter of Armand C. and Evelyn Fountain Beliveau, she was a 1949 graduate of Drury High School and a 1977 graduate of Berkshire Community College.
She was employed in shipping and receiving at Berkshire Life Insurance Co. for 10 years, retiring in 1984.
Following retirement, she and her husband moved to Welaka, Fla. They returned to Pittsfield in 2002. While in Welaka, she ran the Meals on Wheels program.
She enjoyed reading.
She and her husband, Kenneth V. Hoag, were married March 14, 1953.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Jay Hoag of North Adams; two daughters, Dawn C. McMahon and Janice Cirillo, both of Pittsfield; a stepdaughter, Carol M. Bristol of Pittsfield; and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Frances M. Hoag died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006. In keeping with her wishes, there are no services or calling hours. Following cremation, she will be buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Berkshire Humane Society in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201. She also leaves her grandchildren, Katie Scholz, Ryan Cirillo, Kelly Cirillo and Emily Greenlaw.
