Theresa T. Taylor

Theresa T. Taylor, 94, of 89 Adelaide Ave. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center.
She had been a resident of Providence Care Center in Lenox since June 2004.
Born in Pittsfield on June 20, 1912, daughter of Joseph and Lucia Argenta Nicola, she attended schools there. At the age of 8, while living in the former Junction section of Pittsfield, she was struck by lightning in her yard.
Mrs. Taylor was employed by the former A.H. Rice Co. for 27 years, retiring as a thread tester.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality.
She enjoyed traveling and baking.
Her first husband, Bernard Bassett died in 1934.
Her husband, Willard H. Taylor, whom she married July 25, 1935, died March 25, 1982.
She leaves three sons, Bernard A. Bassett of Port Lucie, Fla., Robert H. Taylor of Pittsfield and Patrick J. Taylor of Dalton; three daughters, Janet A. D'Agostino and Ann Marie Reagan, both of Pittsfield, and Susan L. Gero, with whom she resided; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Theresa T. Taylor, who died Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, will be Tuesday at 9:15 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 5 to 8. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Make-a-Wish Foundation in care of the funeral home. She enjoyed John Wayne movies and playing Yahtzee. The joy of her life was spending time with her family and grandchildren; she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by three brothers, Hector, Frank and Dario "Buck" Nicola; three sisters, Mary Bilia, Rena Balardini and Alma Barrie; a stepdaughter, Clara Wilkerson; and, in 1988, a son-in-law, Francis B. Gero.
