Aurie E. Sabato

Aurie E. Sabato, 89, formerly of 289 Fenn St., died Friday at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox.
She and her husband, Charles E. Sabato, owned the former Magnone's Market on Fenn Street until 1967, whereupon they purchased Colonial Village Package Store in Williamstown.
Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 27, 1916, daughter of Frank and Cora Andreotta Magnone, she graduated from Pittsfield High School.
Following the sale of the package store, Mrs. Sabato worked at Hashim's Package Store.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and a former member of the Pittsfield Emblem Club. She enjoyed bowling.
Her husband died Sept. 20, 2000. They were married Sept. 2, 1940, at Mount Carmel Church.
She leaves two daughters, Jeanne E. McBride and Patricia A. Provenzano, both of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Aurie E. Sabato, who died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, will be Tuesday at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 at Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. She also leaves two sons-in-law, Peter McBride and John Provenzano; seven grandchildren, Marie, John and Michael Provenzano, Deanna Zurrin, Sean and Lori McBride, and Erin McBride Africa; and five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Shelsey and Jaime Provenzano, and Carl and Zachary Zurrin.
She was predeceased by a sister, Rose Pires. Aurie's family would like to express its gratitude to Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center for the excellent care given to Aurie, and to her friends and caregivers at the Nursing Care Center while she resided there.
