Dolores F. Senk, 79, of Sanibel Island, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died Monday at home.
Born in Waterford, N.Y., on Aug. 20, 1927, daughter of John and Martha Nicholson Liberty, she attended schools there.
She lived in Pittsfield for more than 50 years and moved to Sanibel Island on Nov. 7, 2005.
She was a communicant of St. Isabel Catholic Church.
Her husband, Chester Senk, died in October 2005.
She leaves two sons, Lynn Senk of Amarillo, Texas, and the Rev. Christopher Senk of Sanibel; a daughter, Cheryl Munger of Dunstable; a brother, Benjamin Liberty of Troy, N.Y.; two sisters, Martha Senk of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Elizabeth Danish of Cropseyville, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Dolores Senk, who died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, will be celebrated tomorrow, Nov. 16, at 11 at St. Isabel Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dolores Senk to either Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers FL 33908 or to the St. Isabel Building Fund Drive, 3559 Sanibel Captiva Road, Sanibel FL 33957. HARVEY-ENGELHARDT-METZ FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
Dolores was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother, whose special love of animals was known to all. Her unconditional love and kindly disposition will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
