November 16, 2006

Jamie L. Kruger, 25, of 110 Roselyn Dr. died yesterday morning at her sister's home on Merriam Street.

She received her associate's degree in human services from Berkshire Community College in 2004.

She was employed as a child-care worker and, at one time, was a supervisor at Hillcrest Educational Centers in Lenox. She had also worked for a time at Kolburne School in New Marlborough.

For many years, she was a downhill ski racer at Brodie Mountain Ski Area. She enjoyed dancing and choreography.

Besides her parents, she leaves a son, Anthony Kruger, at home; a brother, Jeffrey Kruger of Pittsfield; two sisters, Jenna Kruger of Pittsfield and Jessica Riley of Albuquerque, N.M.; her maternal grandparents, William and Janet McNeil of Pittsfield; and her paternal grandfather, Charles Kruger of Pittsfield.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Anthony Kruger Educational Fund in care of the funeral home. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jamie will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and eyes, which could light up a room. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, but the memories she leaves will last forever.
