William J. Beer Jr., 86, of South Central St., Plainfield, died Friday at his home.
Born in Pittsfield on March 28, 1920, son of William J. Beer Sr. and Irene Prince Beer, he attended schools in Cheshire and Adams.
Mr. Beer was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. He also was a caregiver for his parents.
He leaves two cousins, Doris St. Hilaire of Cheshire and Barbara Smith of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside service for William J. Beer Jr., who died Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Hilltop Cemetery by the Rev. Suzanne Zacher, pastor of the Morningside Baptist Church.
There will be no calling hours. The WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, is in charge of arrangements. He leaves many other cousins.
