A. Edward "Ted" Bramley

A. Edward "Ted" Bramley, 83, of 181 Brown St. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in Pittsfield on July 29, 1923, son of Archie P. and Adele Nivens Bramley, he was a 1941 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Mr. Bramley was employed by General Electric Co. in the ordnance manufacturing division as a maintenance foreman, retiring in 1985 with 38 years of service.

He attended Pilgrim Memorial Church and was a member of the Mystic Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, American Legion Post 68 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He and his wife, the former Bernice Chapman, were married March 11, 1944.

He leaves a daughter, Judy Bramley of Chicopee; and a son, Jim Bramley of East Windsor, Conn.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for A. Edward "Ted" Bramley, who died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, will be Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 11 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 6 and also one hour prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Salvation Army, in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

He also leaves a sister-in-law, Betty Drury; nieces Karen, Megan and Melissa Mackey, Randy Winters and Linda Callahan; and nephews. Two brothers and three sisters predeceased him.
